Help! My PS5 Pro is Showing a Horizontal Line on My Monitor

I've been using my LG UltraGear 32GR93U-B monitor for about a month without any issues after connecting my PS5 Pro. However, I've started noticing a thin horizontal black line on the screen when I switch from my laptop to the PS5. This line appears regardless of the refresh rate settings on the PS5, but interestingly, it also pops up on my laptop when I switch its refresh rate down to 60 Hz, yet it disappears when I put it back to 144 Hz. I've gone through a bunch of troubleshooting steps: I've swapped HDMI ports, used different HDMI cables (including certified 2.1), changed resolution and refresh rates, toggled HDR, and even factory reset the monitor. The PS5 works fine on other displays, and my laptop has no issues with this monitor, so it seems like the problem is specific to the PS5 Pro and this monitor. Is there anyone who has experienced something similar? Do you think it's a compatibility issue or should I consider sending the monitor back for warranty replacement?

It sounds like a frustrating issue! If the line only shows up with your PS5 on this specific monitor, it might be a compatibility glitch or a firmware issue. Have you checked if there are any firmware updates available for your monitor? Sometimes, manufacturers release updates that fix these kinds of problems. If that doesn’t work and you've tested everything else, consider reaching out to LG support. They might have a fix or may guide you on warranty options.

Yeah, definitely look for updates! Sometimes, manufacturers won't advertise them widely but they can really help with these kinds of glitches.

From what you're describing, it does sound like your monitor may be acting up, especially since it works perfectly with other devices. A friend of mine had a similar issue and it turned out to be a hardware defect. If the monitor is still under warranty, it might not hurt to get it checked out just to be safe!
