Help! My ‘s’ key is triggering the top bar in Ubuntu

I recently installed Ubuntu 24.04 and started using an extension that hides the top bar. However, I've run into a weird issue: whenever I type the letter 's', the top bar pops back up! This only happens when the extension to hide the top bar is active. Disabling it fixes the problem, but I really want to keep this feature. Does anyone know how to resolve this issue?

If you're still having issues, you could try switching to a different desktop environment. Some environments let you customize it even more. Just keep in mind that it might require a bit of setup. Don't worry if you're new; it can be a fun way to learn Ubuntu!

I’m new to Ubuntu too! How exactly do I switch desktop environments? I'm a bit lost!

It sounds like the 's' key is set as a shortcut to reveal the bar. You might want to change that shortcut to something else in your settings. Check your keyboard shortcuts and see if 's' is listed there as a hotkey. That should solve your issue!

Yeah, I found that the shortcut was marked as 'invalid,' so I just disabled it, and now everything works fine. Thanks for the tip!
