Hey everyone! I'm having trouble while trying to download the Ubuntu distro. Every time I attempt the process, my screen goes black. I'm not sure what's causing this. Any ideas or steps I can take to resolve this issue?

I think you might not have shared enough details here. Can you tell us what troubleshooting steps you've already attempted? Also, what kind of graphics card are you using? That information could really help us support you.

To help figure out what's happening, it would be great to know your steps. Just to clarify, I'm assuming your screen isn’t going black while downloading the Ubuntu ISO, right? Are you writing the ISO to a USB stick and trying to boot from it? Also, which version of Ubuntu are you using—24.04 LTS or 25.04? If you see the 'Try or install Ubuntu' GRUB menu, then the USB is likely fine. You might want to edit the GRUB entry by pressing `e` at the menu and replace `quiet splash` with `loglevel=7`. This will give you more details about any issues. Plus, try adding `nomodeset` to see if it's a graphics driver issue.
