I recently tried to install a second RTX 3060 GPU into my PC. The card was working fine in another setup before I removed it, but now it doesn't show any signs of life—no fans spinning, and Windows doesn't recognize it at all. I made sure to be careful during the installation and grounded myself. I even tried putting the GPU back in the old computer, but it's still dead. I'm really puzzled about what could have gone wrong; I checked for any visible damage, but everything looks fine. Does anyone have any tips on what I might have missed or how to troubleshoot this?

Just curious, what’s your end goal adding a second GPU? I mean, aside from gaming, multiple GPUs make sense for AI tasks, given you could use combined VRAM for better performance.
If you’re just adding a GPU for AI purposes, are you planning on using any specific software that utilizes both cards? Just want to ensure your setup is optimized for your needs.
Did you use the same PSU cables from the main computer for this GPU? Mixing up cables from different power supplies can definitely cause problems. Make sure you connected everything correctly before troubleshooting further.
You might want to double-check if you accidentally turned off the power switch on your PSU. It's an easy oversight, but it could save you a lot of time troubleshooting!
