I'm having a frustrating issue with my laptop where the Wi-Fi icon vanishes after being on for about 2 to 10 minutes. My Wi-Fi driver doesn't show up in the network adapter list unless I select the option to display hidden devices, and even then, the icon appears greyed out. I can't disable or enable it again. A while back, I had this same problem and had to do a factory reset, but I'd really like to avoid that this time. I'm using an Asus TUF A15 with Windows 11. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Have you checked the power saving settings for your Wi-Fi driver? Sometimes, those settings can cause the driver to disappear intermittently. You can find the option by right-clicking on the driver in Device Manager, going to Properties, and then navigating to the Power Management tab. Just make sure to uncheck anything that allows the computer to turn off the device to save power.
That sounds pretty serious if the Wi-Fi card might have failed. Have you had any hardware issues before? Maybe try updating your drivers if you haven't done that yet. Also, keep an eye on any notifications from Windows; if they’re suggesting driver updates, it might be worth looking into!
It's interesting that this started happening after you postponed updating your graphics driver. Sometimes keeping everything updated can prevent issues like yours. It might be worth checking if there's a new driver available for your Wi-Fi as well. Just make sure you back up your data before making changes, you never know!
