I've been trying to fix an issue where my Wi-Fi isn't showing up on my HP laptop, which I use mainly for school work and playing Cookie Clicker. I recently updated the drivers, and ever since then, I can't find the Wi-Fi option at all. I've watched multiple YouTube tutorials but nothing seems to resolve it. I'm not in a position to take it to a repair shop, so any advice would be appreciated! (P.S. I'm referring to Wi-Fi, not 'wife', though that joke was tempting!)

Have you checked if your Wi-Fi is enabled in settings? Sometimes after updates, it can get turned off automatically. Just hit the Wi-Fi button on your keyboard or check in the network settings.
Sounds like a classic driver issue! Usually, the fix involves uninstalling the problematic driver and then downloading the latest version from your laptop's support website. But I get it; if the Wi-Fi is down, that complicates things. You might want to try connecting with an Ethernet cable if you have one, which can let you download the driver easily. Good luck!
You might also want to power cycle your laptop. Just turn it off, unplug it, wait a minute, then power it back on. Sometimes that can help reset the connection issues after updates.

Yeah, trying Ethernet could definitely help! If you're still stuck, check if there’s a way to roll back the driver to an earlier version through Device Manager.
