Help Needed: Can’t Boot with Samsung Pro 950 NVMe on New PC

I've been having a frustrating issue booting my new PC. I've set it up with an i5-12600KF and a Gigabyte B760M Gaming DDR4 motherboard. I'm trying to boot Windows from my existing Samsung Pro 950 NVMe drive taken from my old PC, but the BIOS doesn't recognize the drive in either of the NVMe slots. As a workaround, I've installed Windows 11 on a SATA disk, the CX400, which works but it's noticeably slower, taking almost 2 minutes to boot. I'm wondering if there's a way to get my NVMe drive to work or if I need to invest in a new one. Any advice would be appreciated!

I had a similar issue when I upgraded my PC. It sounds like your BIOS might be set to UEFI exclusively. Try switching it to CSM Support in the BIOS settings; it might help your NVMe drive show up. Just a heads up, though, enabling CSM might disable Secure Boot, so keep that in mind if you need it for gaming.

I've done that, and the Samsung drive shows up, but I can't boot with CSM on because I need Secure Boot enabled for gaming. I'm really hoping to get the NVMe to work in UEFI mode only.

Hey there! Your Samsung NVMe should definitely work with that setup. First, check if it appears in Device Manager. Also, try removing the SATA drive to see if the PC boots faster without it. Sometimes, having multiple drives can complicate boot priorities. Let me know if you find anything!

Thanks for the tip! The NVMe is visible in Device Manager, and removing the SATA drive is my next step. I'll update once I try it.
