Help Needed: My Gigabyte GC-XBAX210 Wi-Fi Card Won’t Work!

I'm at my wit's end trying to get my Gigabyte GC-XBAX210 Wi-Fi PCIe card to work on my NZXT pre-built system. Here's a quick rundown of my setup:

- Motherboard: B365 Phantom Gaming 4
- CPU: Intel i5 9400F
- RAM: 32GB DDR4 3200 (although it only runs at 2666)
- GPU: MSI GeForce 1660 Super

I'm running Windows 10 (64 bit) and have attempted to install several drivers, including:

- mb_driver_630_dschsetup_23.20.0.4
- mb_driver_607_win10_23.20.0.3
- mb_driver_2683_mtk_1.1044.0.556
- mb_driver_2683_mtk_5.7.0.4669
- WiFi-23.170.0-Driver64-Win10-Win11.exe
- BT-23.170.0-64UWD-Win10-Win11.exe

Despite all this, my computer still doesn't recognize the card. In Device Manager, it shows up under 'Other Devices' with a status saying the drivers are not installed (Code 28). I'm wondering if the card is defective, if I have the wrong drivers, or if I'm just not doing something right. I could really use some help on this as it's affecting my workflow. Cheers!

It sounds like you're on the right track! You should make sure your system actually detects the card first. You can do this by checking Device Manager to see if the card appears under 'Network Adapters' instead of 'Other Devices.' If it still doesn't show up correctly, you'll want to focus on that driver. The WiFi-23.170.0-Driver64 package is the one you should stick with. If the card still doesn't respond, it might be worth trying out a different Wi-Fi card altogether, like the BE200, which has received good reviews.

Thanks for the tip! I’ll check Device Manager again to see if it’s properly listed. If it’s still giving me trouble, I might consider that BE200 card you mentioned.

You definitely want to ensure that the drivers are compatible with your OS. The driver for the GC-XBAX210 that you downloaded should ideally work. As for the Device Manager showing a Code 28, that usually means Windows sees the card but can't find the right drivers for it. It might also be worth looking over the installation process again or trying a clean install of Windows if you're feeling adventurous. Or just replace the card and save yourself the headache!

I appreciate the advice! I’ll double-check the installation steps and see if anything stands out. If all else fails, I guess a new card could be the solution.
