Hey there! I'm not very tech-savvy, but I'm in the process of switching to a new laptop. I have this awesome app called ICEAMB interval timer that I use twice a day, but sadly, it's been deleted from the Microsoft Store. It's still working fine on my old Windows 10 laptop, but I can't find anything that comes close on my new Windows 11 laptop.
So, I thought I'd try moving the app over manually. I accessed the program files in the WindowsApps folder on my old laptop and copied the three files under the app's name to my new laptop. I found some guides on restoring ownership to the "trusted installer," which I did, but I still can't access the folder on my new laptop—even though it shows the owner as trusted installer.
Additionally, I have an .exe installer file from the old laptop, but when I run it, it just redirects me to the Store, saying the app can't be found.
I'm considering inserting those three files into the WindowsApps folder on my new laptop, but it feels risky since it's not supposed to be accessed. I could use some advice on how to proceed, as this app is super important to me!

Honestly, it sounds like you might be on a slippery slope trying to move those files. If the app wasn't designed for Windows 11 from the get-go, it may not work correctly or at all. Have you checked if Windows 11 has a built-in timer app that could do the job? Or maybe look into third-party timer apps? Sometimes you can find gems that offer similar features as your favorite app!

I totally get you! I tried looking for alternatives, but nothing really matches the features of ICEAMB. It's frustrating!
