I'm following a video tutorial for installing Linux Mint, but I've hit a snag about seven minutes in. I'm at the point where I need to select the boot installation device for the ext4 partition, but I'm confused because I don't see a partition labeled sda5. My goal is to have Linux on a different EFI partition to avoid any conflicts with my existing Windows setup. I'm feeling nervous about making the wrong choice here, so I would really appreciate any guidance. I genuinely just want to make sure I don't mess this up!

Since you already have a USB set up with Ventoy, it’s fine to skip the part about creating a bootable USB in the video. That should make things simpler for you.
If you're solely installing Linux on your disk, it might be easier to let the installer take care of everything. You can always adjust the partitions later using GParted if needed.
Instead of relying on a random video, I recommend checking out the official Linux Mint installation guide. It could save you a lot of hassle in the long run.
You might find some great installation tips in the documentation! Always consider installing while connected to an Ethernet cable, and make sure to eject your boot media when you're done!
