I'm having trouble opening my photos on Windows 11. When I try to access them from my pen drive, the images show up as blank or grey. I suspect this is due to file corruption, possibly from an unsafe ejection or due to bad sectors on the pen drive. These photos are really important to me, so I'm looking for advice on how to recover or repair the corrupted files.

It might be that the files didn't get copied properly to the USB. If you have access to the original files, try retrieving them from there instead. If the USB is your only copy, you may want to reconsider how you're saving your files.
Have you tried copying the photos onto your computer first and then opening them with a different photo viewer? Working directly from the pen drive might not be the best approach.
Look into the r/datarecovery subreddit for more advice on recovering your photos. They have some great resources and tips that might help you out!
You might want to check out a recovery service or tools for corrupted files. Sometimes, it’s possible to salvage the pictures if they’re just slightly damaged. They might be able to help you recover what's lost.
