Hey everyone, I'm at my wit's end here. My PC keeps restarting while I'm playing PUBG, but it handles other demanding games like Red Dead Redemption 2 and Cyberpunk 2077 without any issues. After about 15-20 minutes in PUBG, it just reboots without warning—no freezes or BSODs or anything. The only error I see in Event Viewer is 'Kernel Power 41 (63),' which doesn't give me much information.
Here's what I'm working with:
- CPU: Intel i9-14900KF (liquid cooled)
- GPU: NVIDIA RTX 4080
- RAM: 32GB DDR5 @ 6000 MHz (XMP enabled)
- PSU: 1000W Gold-rated
- OS: Windows 11 (cracked, which I suspect may be a problem)
I've already tried a bunch of things, including changing RAM speeds, messing with CPU power plans, uninstalling antivirus, running system checks, and even a clean reinstall of PUBG and my NVIDIA drivers. Everything checks out temperature-wise, too.
My biggest concern is whether the cracked version of Windows could be causing this. I've heard PUBG's anti-cheat can act up if it detects any OS issues, even if you're not cheating. I'd appreciate any help or suggestions because I'm out of ideas and willing to do a clean Windows install if necessary. Thanks!

Check all your cables and consider updating or resetting the BIOS. It could potentially be a PSU issue, so make sure to rule out software conflicts first. As for the Windows activation, it's hard to say if that impacts anything. A clean install could fix many things but might not help if it's a hardware problem.
You might want to take a closer look at your RAM. Sometimes stability issues with XMP enabled can be problematic, especially with DDR5 and multiple modules. Have you tried turning XMP off to see if that helps?
XMP was off at first, and I was crashing every 5 minutes. Now that I've enabled it, I can sometimes last 10-15 minutes or even finish a whole game.
I suspect the BattleEye anti-cheat might be causing your issues. I’ve experienced similar problems with PUBG and also faced restarts without any error messages. I’d get a BattleEye error with Arma, but not with PUBG. Usually, I can play for about an hour before it crashes. Some driver issues I had were resolved after an Nvidia update, but nothing serious led to these crashes.
What RAM brand are you using? I’m curious since I’ve been through some similar issues and maybe we’re both using the same kind.
I recently upgraded from an 850W to a 1000W Gold PSU, but I’m still facing crashes. I’ve run all the diagnostics, and everything seems alright.
