Help! Two PCs Show Same Boot Failure—Is It a Power Issue?

I had a rough start to the New Year when my original PC started having boot issues on December 30. While the RGB lights and fans would spin, it wouldn't actually boot or show anything on the display. After having a repair technician diagnose it, he determined that the motherboard was faulty, and I ended up paying $550 for a replacement.

Then on January 13, the same boot issue resurfaced. I managed to power it on a few times, allowing me to back up most of my files to OneDrive, though I lost my game saves. I tried some basic troubleshooting like reseating the RAM and clearing the CMOS, but nothing seemed to work. The repairman suggested that plugging the PC directly into the wall might be the issue, but he didn't provide much help aside from saying to bring it back to the shop. Feeling uncertain about that, I invested in a $200 UPS for power protection.

On January 15, I bought a new HP Omen gaming PC from Best Buy. After setting it up and letting Windows update, I left for work. However, when I returned, the screen was black while the fans and RGB lights were still on. A forced restart showed the HP logo for a moment before going black again.

Now I'm worried that both PCs having the same boot failure could point to a power problem, maybe with the outlet? My TV and my brother's PC work fine in the same outlets, so I'm confused. Has anyone encountered this issue or have any ideas about what might be causing it?

It's strange that both systems are having the same problem. Since your monitor works fine with other devices, it probably isn't the display itself. It might be worth checking if the power outlet is stable or using a different one entirely. Also, consider trying a different power cable or adapter if you can. You mentioned using a UPS now—did you try it without the UPS just to see if there's any change? Sometimes, power conditioning can affect boot processes too.

Sounds super frustrating! If both systems are exhibiting the exact same issue, it could be more than just a hardware failure. It might be related to a power issue or an unstable current. Have you checked to make sure nothing else plugged into the wall is causing interference? Plus, sometimes BIOS settings after a power surge can get messed up. Try resetting the BIOS to defaults if you haven't done that yet.
