I've been battling this issue for a week. I don't have a monitor, so I'm using my Raspberry Pi 5 over SSH to download an ISO and set it up on my laptop. The problem is that the Windows installation doesn't recognize my SSD, even though the BIOS does. I've double-checked that my BIOS is set to AHCI, and there's no secure boot or anything like that interfering. What can I do to resolve this situation? I'm really stuck and need some guidance!

Was your SSD previously used with Linux? If it’s formatted with a non-Windows native file system, that could be why Windows can’t see it. You may need to reformat it to something like NTFS before installation.
Your SSD might need specific drivers that aren’t included with the Windows installer. When you reach the installation step, there’s an option to load drivers. You might need to download them from your SSD manufacturer’s site first before proceeding with the install.
When I try to manually select a driver, it just shows as 'USB C:' or something similar, and selecting it leads to a 'scanning drivers failed' error.
Honestly, I'm pretty done with Windows myself. I really needed it for some tasks, but I'm thinking about going back to Linux for good. It just feels more straightforward at times.

I don't know much about that, but I did use the same SSD when I had Linux installed. What should I do?
