I've been struggling with an issue where my PC won't send a signal to my TV. After some troubleshooting, including a clean install of Windows 10, I suspect that the recent Windows 22H2 updates are behind the black screen I'm getting. The computer works perfectly until I install these updates, and then it won't boot past BIOS. Is there any way to fix this without completely blocking future updates?

Have you tried booting your PC in safe mode? It might help. I suspect it could be a driver issue, so consider updating your drivers before installing the updates again, including the BIOS.
It sounds like there might be a display driver issue. Sometimes the output signal won't match what your TV can handle. What TV model are you using? Have you tried connecting your PC to a different monitor or TV? I suspect the issue might actually stem from the TV rather than the PC itself.
I think you might be onto something with the display driver issue. I tried different HDMI cables and ports, but the same problem occurred. I managed to disable the Windows update and installed the drivers for my GPU, but I still encountered the black screen right at the end of the installation. Some people suggested that using a different HDMI cable (specifically one that’s 2.0) worked for them, so I may give that another shot and see if it resolves my issue.
Are you suggesting I boot into safe mode when the PC seems completely dead? Or should I attempt it before running the updates? I currently have issues where the CPU fan just spins at idle and nothing else happens when the update goes on. I did make sure my BIOS is up-to-date.
