I'm facing some frustrating display problems with my new monitor setup. Whenever I turn off the monitor, I have to restart my PC entirely just to get the display to work again. I've discovered that using HDMI 1.4 in the monitor's firmware helps, which leads me to believe it might be a bandwidth issue. I've tested the cable, reinstalled NVIDIA drivers, and checked the power save settings, but now I'm stuck at 60Hz instead of the desired 360Hz at 1440p. The BIOS works fine, and once the display is on, there are no random black screen issues; it's just when I turn the monitor off. Has anyone experienced this and found a fix? I've updated the monitor firmware, and it seems to have solved the problem. Any additional tips?

It sounds like your HDMI cable might be the issue. I've had similar problems, and it turned out that using a specific cable compatible with my monitor and settings fixed everything. Maybe try looking for a high-quality cable that's rated for the necessary refresh rates and resolutions you want.

Yeah, I had to switch to a gold-plated HDMI 2.1 cable for smooth 4K at 120Hz, so that might be worth checking out!
