I've got an HP Elitebook 840 G1, which is quite an old model. I used to run Arch Linux on it, and everything worked perfectly, including Bluetooth. Recently, I switched to Windows 11, and while most things are functioning well, I can't find any Bluetooth options—it's completely missing from the device manager. I tried downloading the drivers from the HP website, but that hasn't resolved the issue. In the device manager, I see an 'Other devices' section with three entries:
1. PCI Device
2. Unknown Device
3. Unknown Device
From what I gathered, the second device is likely the Bluetooth hardware, as it has these hardware IDs: USBVID_8087&PID_07DC&REV_0001 and USBVID_8087&PID_07DC.
Here's what I've done so far:
1. Installed Intel Management Engine Interface, which reduced the number of unknown devices from five to three.
2. Made sure the Bluetooth Support Service is running and set to automatic.
3. Tried enabling 'Show hidden devices' in the device manager, but there are still no Bluetooth entries.
4. Wi-Fi is working perfectly, so I don't think it's a hardware problem since Bluetooth was fine on Linux.
5. Installed the Bluetooth drivers from HP, though they were designed for Windows 10, and I'm now on Windows 11.
Any guidance would be highly appreciated!

Have you checked what Wi-Fi card your Elitebook has? You may need specific drivers depending on the card. Since it’s a 4th gen processor, it technically meets the minimum requirements for Windows 11, but getting the right drivers is key to getting your Bluetooth to work. Just make sure you’re looking for drivers that are compatible with Windows 11, even though yours might list as Windows 10.

The Wi-Fi card is an Intel Dual Band Wireless-N 7260,
