I have a Pixel 8 running Android 16 QPR2 Beta 3.1 and I accidentally got water in my charging port. What are the best ways to remove the water and prevent further issues?

If you're in a hurry, using a hair dryer for short bursts (about 2 minutes at a time) can help, but let it cool down between sessions. Alternatively, just wipe it down and use wireless charging until it dries out completely.

Air drying is a solid option. If you don’t want to wait, heat a towel and gently apply it to the charging port. Just don’t get it too hot to avoid damaging anything!

First, try to shake the phone gently to get the excess water out. If you have silica gel packets, placing your phone in a sealed container with them can help absorb the moisture. It's a classic trick that works!

If you have a hair dryer, you can also use it on a low setting, but be careful not to overheat it. Aim it at the charging port from a safe distance!
