I'm trying to help my mom with a frustrating issue where she can't access bridgebase.com. Every time she tries on her iPhone and iPad (both using Safari) and her Windows PC (using Chrome), she's redirected to a domain sales site instead. The strange part is that when we use private browsing or incognito mode, the website works just fine.
Initially, I thought it might be related to cached data or cookies, so we cleared those, but that didn't resolve the problem. I also had her try on her computer, expecting it to work since it's a different browser, but it didn't. In Chrome, the site data shows both bridgebase.com and purefindresults.com, and after deleting the data for both, it now only shows information for purefindresults.com. This suggests there might be some kind of browser hijacking going on. The issue is particularly concerning because it's happening across different devices, browsers, and platforms.
We've run a Windows Defender scan with no results and are currently scanning with Malwarebytes. I'm worried that it could be something related to the router's firmware or possibly installed directly onto the router since all devices are affected. We've also hard rebooted the modem and router with no changes. It's a cable company-owned router, so we have limited access to its settings. Any suggestions on what I should do next?

If you've already checked the extensions and found nothing, it might be worth looking into the router settings, even if you have limited access. Some routers allow for logging in and checking network activity. If possible, reset the router to factory settings, which might help clear any malicious configurations. Also, regularly updating the router firmware can sometimes prevent similar issues.
You should definitely check if there are any browser extensions installed on her devices. Sometimes, a problematic extension can hijack the browser, and if she's logged in, those extensions can sync across devices. That's likely why it’s happening everywhere. Incognito mode doesn’t load extensions, which is why it works there. Let me know if you find anything!
