I'm having a frustrating time with my PC, specifically with frequent BSODs while gaming. The errors I encounter are generally DPC watchdog violation and kmode exception not handled. I've tried various fixes, but unfortunately, I can't seem to get any dump files created, which would help diagnose the issue. When I check the event viewer, I see a volmgr error with event ID 161, stating that dump file creation failed.
Here's my setup: Ryzen 5 5600, RX 7600, 32GB Vengeance RAM, and a Teamgroup MP33 1TB SSD, all running on an MSI MAG B550 Tomahawk board. After rebuilding the system only a few days ago, it consistently crashes after a few hours of use. I've tried many troubleshooting steps like using DDU, disabling non-essential devices, running SFC, testing the SSD, turning off fast boot, and rolling back updates. However, the crashes continue. After each crash, I find my computer struggles to recognize the SSD until I power drain it. This leads me to suspect either the RAM or the SSD is failing. Also, the performance has dropped significantly lately, which is making me worry even more. Can anyone offer advice on how to resolve this before I consider throwing the whole thing out?

It sounds like your SSD might indeed be the culprit, especially if it's losing recognition after crashes. Have you tried checking the SSD's SMART status with a tool like CrystalDiskInfo? It can give you detailed health information about your SSD to see if there are any red flags.
If your PC is failing to save minidump files, that's often a sign of an underlying issue with the OS drive where it’s installed. Since you've noted that it only recognizes your SSD after a power drain, it’s possible that your SSD could be failing or having connectivity issues. Have you tried reseating it or using another slot on your motherboard?
Good idea! I haven't reseated it yet, but I'll give that a shot and see if it makes a difference.

I haven't used that tool yet. Thanks for the suggestion! I'll check the SMART status and see what it says.
