Help with Frequent Crashes on My New Gaming PC

I recently built a new gaming PC with the following specs: RTX 5070, Ryzen 7 7800X3D, Asus ROG Strix B850-I Gaming motherboard, 32GB 6400 RAM, and an 850W Gold PSU. However, I'm facing frequent crashes in games like Anno 117 and Void Train. The crashes are accompanied by specific errors—D3D12 error 0x887a0005 and 'D3D device being lost'.

Here's what I've already tried:
- Swapped out the GPU for another RTX 5070
- Underclocked the GPU to -250
- Reduced RAM speeds
- Checked all hardware connections
- Rolled back to an older driver
- Made various changes to BIOS settings

I'm looking for more suggestions to resolve these crashes.

If your graphics card is in a PCIe riser, it might be losing connection. I recommend checking your BIOS settings and trying to set the PCIe version to a lower one, like PCIe 3.0. It could help stabilize the connection with your GPU.

It's in a riser, and I'm using a Cooler Master Ncore 100 case. I think I lowered it but can try it again.

It sounds like there might be a driver issue with your GPU. Have you considered not using the latest version? Sometimes, newer drivers can introduce instability. Also, have you tried rolling back to a different stable version?

Yeah, I ran DDU and reverted to a stable version.
