Help with Random PC Restarts and BSODs

I've been dealing with some frustrating issues on my PC for the past couple of months - it keeps randomly restarting and giving me Blue Screens of Death (BSODs). These crashes happen at seemingly arbitrary times; sometimes when I'm rendering a video or gaming, and other times while the system is just sitting idle for 15-20 minutes. I often find it has restarted and is sitting in the BIOS menu. I've checked some basics like temperatures and PSU connections, and everything seems fine.

Here's a bit of background on my setup: I have an AMD Ryzen 7 3700X processor, 64GB of CORSAIR RAM, an Asrock Steel Legend x570 motherboard, and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 graphics card. I tried switching to a new Nvidia graphics card thinking it would resolve the issues, but they persisted. I previously had problems with RAM compatibility since I was using two sets of different 32GB kits, but I managed to adjust the settings in the BIOS to make them work. I've also run various stress tests on my CPU, GPU, and memory, as well as implemented numerous software fixes including driver updates and reinstalls. At this point, I'm really stumped on what could be causing these problems or how I might resolve them. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

It could be helpful to look into your RAM configuration as well. Sometimes mixing RAM kits, especially from different manufacturers, can lead to instability, even if it seems to be working fine at first. Have you run any extensive memory tests like Memtest86? It might be worth rechecking stability there, or even trying to go back to just one kit temporarily to see if the issues persist.

First off, it sounds like you've done a lot of solid troubleshooting already! One thing you could check further is the minidump files from the BSODs. They can provide critical clues about what’s causing the crashes. To find your minidump files, navigate to C:WindowsMinidump. If there are files there, zip them up and upload them to a file-sharing service. Having multiple dump files helps with diagnosing the issue more accurately. If you haven’t set it yet, consider configuring it to create small memory dumps instead of complete memory dumps, as that might help gather the necessary data without filling up your storage too quickly.

You might be facing an issue with your NVMe drives. The WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR, along with the crashes leading to BIOS, can indicate an intermittently failing NVMe drive. Although diagnostic tests are often unreliable for those drives, the symptoms you describe suggest there might be a hardware problem there. Pay attention to how often it BSODs without generating a dump file, as that can hint at deeper issues with the storage.
