I've recently set up a dual boot system with Ubuntu and Windows 10, using Ubuntu as my main OS. I'm facing a couple of issues: First, my network speed seems stuck at 100 Mbps, although I did follow some advice from the Ask Ubuntu forums to fix it. I added 'pcie_aspm=off' to my GRUB configuration and updated it, but the speed still drops back to 100 Mbps instead of reaching the expected 1000 Mbps. Second, I have a 4 TB shared drive that occasionally won't open unless I boot into Windows and run a disk check using 'chkdsk D: /f'. After that, I can access the drive again when I switch back to Ubuntu. Anyone have suggestions?

It might be worth checking the quality of your Ethernet cable. Sometimes using a fully-shielded twisted pair can make a difference with network speeds. Just a thought!

I doubt that's the issue. When I boot into Windows, I consistently get about 600-800 Mbps, but Ubuntu keeps capping me at under 100.
