Hey everyone! I'm curious about how many sysadmins are bringing AI into their daily workflows. Personally, I've mostly used AI for scripting and connecting applications. Now, I'm looking to leverage it for speeding up the documentation process and creating presentations. We're working on implementing a 3-tier structure for Microsoft Security and I'd like to generate some docs for management - ideally without using PowerPoint. What applications or AI tools are you all using for creating technical documentation and presentations? I've heard about PlusAI for presentations, but I'm looking for more options and opinions!

If you're still on the hunt for alternatives to create great presentations, check out VISS.AI and Beautiful AI along with Gamma. These apps have solid features that can enhance your presentations without the conventional PowerPoint format!

I totally get your hesitation with PowerPoint! For technical documentation, Notion AI is surprisingly effective—it can take raw notes and turn them into structured docs for easy collaboration. Additionally, if you prefer a Markdown setup, try using Obsidian with a ChatGPT plugin. And if you're focused on how-to guides, Scribe is excellent at integrating screenshots into your documentation.

Honestly, I've found that relying too much on AI can make you a bit lazy. I usually stick to my good old Google research methods and traditional documentation practices. There's a lot to be said for the learning experience when you put in the effort.

For documentation, I've been using TaskCapture, and it's been really helpful! On the presentation front, I prefer to stay away from PowerPoint and have recently tried Gamma.app and Tome.app, which give a more modern vibe. Both offer AI-powered slide generation that can help you create visually appealing presentations without the usual hassle. If you need a quick summary or outline for your docs, feeding your content into ChatGPT or Claude can yield great results. Also, if you have to use PowerPoint for some reason, check out slidecheck.app for reviewing your presentation before sending it out. It's a lifesaver!
