Hey folks! I'm dealing with a challenge at work related to email forwarding. We receive a lot of emails from a vendor, and each email's subject line contains a client name or number that corresponds to different employees at our company. The vendor only sends emails to a single address, so direct communication with employees isn't possible.
I'm looking for a way to automatically forward these emails to the appropriate employee based on the subject line. Manually creating forwarding rules in Outlook quickly hits the limit due to the number of clients we have. Ideally, it would be great if the solution allows us to update the forwarding rules using an Excel spreadsheet or another easy-to-update database.
To complicate things further, the subject lines aren't always consistent, which makes it tricky. I'd appreciate any advice on using advanced logic to sort these emails or potentially having those that can't be sorted go into a separate folder for manual handling.
I've considered using Power Automate, though I'm unsure if it's the best fit. Any insights would be super helpful! Thanks in advance!

Have you thought about using a ticketing system for this? They often have the capability to route emails to different teams based on rules you've set up, which could help keep your email organization simpler. It might be a different approach, but it's worth considering!
That’s an interesting idea! We were hoping to forward directly to employees’ inboxes, but I’ll look into the ticketing system option as another path.
