How Can I Bypass a Password Locked BIOS on a Prebuilt PC?

I recently got a prebuilt PC for my younger brother, but he's having some trouble with it. Apparently, the BIOS is locked, and he mentioned that this particular model from Viprtech has some issues. He pointed out that the CPU is outdated—around 2016—and it might be bottlenecking the GPU. Furthermore, he said they're using a single stick of 32GB RAM, which might not be optimal. The real kicker is that the BIOS has been renamed, preventing us from accessing it to make updates or changes. I found some videos that discuss this, but I'm not entirely sure how to approach this password-locked BIOS and the renamed issue. Any advice would be helpful!

That PC's hardware is at least 4-5 years old, and it’s not unusual for OEMs to put modified BIOS versions on their systems. Oftentimes, these versions restrict updates to keep users from messing with system settings. It can be frustrating, but it helps OEMs ensure stability and prevent issues that come from user modifications, especially for non-technical users.

Does having a modified BIOS affect gaming performance? I'm not sure how much of a big deal my brother is making out of it.
