I built my PC three years ago using an ASUS ROG Strix B450-F Gaming II motherboard and I'm finally ready to get a graphics card since prices have stabilized and newer models are being released. I initially chose a 750-watt PSU, anticipating the addition of a dedicated GPU in the future (right now I'm using integrated graphics). I'm looking at the 5060 or 3060, which are similarly priced, but I'm unsure if these newer generation graphics cards will be compatible with my setup. I read something about needing a BIOS update, and I noticed I have a BIOS flashback button on my motherboard, but I'm not entirely clear on that. Any help would be appreciated! Oh, and just for context, my CPU is a Ryzen 5 5600G.

As long as it uses PCI-E, you're good to go! That's the standard for every card out there nowadays.
Almost any GPU from the last 20 years will fit with your motherboard! Just a heads up though, avoid getting an 8GB GPU in 2025, as they might fall behind in performance due to increasing VRAM demands.
You'll be fine with current generation GPUs; they should work with your setup without needing a BIOS update. BIOS updates are usually necessary for CPU upgrades, not for GPUs.
There's generally no specific compatibility issues between motherboards and GPUs. The GPU may be limited by the PCI-E lanes, but that won't stop it from working. Just be cautious about picking a GPU with 8GB or less VRAM as they could become less effective soon due to growing requirements.
Just wondering about the compatibility with my current CPU? I've heard mixed things about that!
