I'm not very tech-savvy and my friend helped me build my PC last year. I believe it should meet the Windows 11 requirements, but I'm unsure how to check or change the necessary settings. Here are my specs:
- Motherboard: MAG B550 TOMAHAWK (MS-7C91)
- Processor: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X 6-Core Processor 3.70 GHz
- RAM: 16.0 GB
- Storage: 932 GB SSD WDC WDS100T2B0C-00PXH0
- Graphics Card: AMD Radeon RX 6600 XT (8 GB)
- System Type: 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor
I read that I need to ensure TPM 2.0 is enabled, Secure Boot is enabled, and CSM is disabled. My DiskPart shows an asterisk under the GPT column, but the Secure Boot State is "Off" and TPM Management says a Compatible TPM cannot be found. I'm also hesitant about making changes since this is my only PC, and I fear losing my data. Could someone help clarify these requirements and guide me on how to make these adjustments safely? Thanks!

You might want to check out Rufus; it’s a tool for creating bootable USB drives. Just grab the official Windows 11 ISO and you can set it up from there. But if you got the Windows 11 Installation Assistant from the Microsoft site, you might be okay to go with that instead!
First off, be sure to back up your data before making any changes! For your AMD system, you won’t find PTT (that’s Intel-specific). Instead, look for fTPM in your BIOS. To check what your system needs, try using the 'WhyNotWin11' tool from GitHub, which will tell you exactly what's missing for Windows 11. That should clear things up and help you figure out if you need to tweak certain settings or not.
You're right to be careful. While some features like Secure Boot and fTPM aren’t strictly necessary for Windows 11, they can enhance the experience, especially with some games. But not having them won't necessarily stop you from installing.
Thanks for the tip! I ran the tool and got a report. Is fixing what it suggests my only step before I can upgrade? I saw some concerns about a potential blue screen in another comment. Can you confirm if this is true?

What’s Rufus exactly? I just downloaded the Windows installation assistant.
