My computer is getting pretty dusty, and I think it's overheating. I don't have any compressed air on hand for cleaning, and I've heard that using things like a leaf blower or a brush could create static issues. What are some safe and effective alternatives I can use to clean it up?

I wouldn't stress too much about static. But if you want to be cautious, make sure to leave the power cord plugged in with the power supply turned off. You can also use a stick to hold fans still while cleaning—they can spin super fast, and you want to avoid any back-current risk.
A hair dryer on its cool setting could be better than nothing if you have one. It might help push out some of the dust without the risk of static electricity from a blower.
If you're up for it, a handheld electric air blower can work well. It might not be as strong as compressed air, but it's usually powerful enough to clear out dust. I take my whole computer case outside to blow the dust out and give it a quick wipe with a microfiber cloth afterward. I've noticed my case runs a bit cooler after that!
Q-tips are great for cleaning. You can lightly moisten them for finer dust removal on areas like fans or your case, but just avoid using them on any sensitive electronic parts.
Using a soft paintbrush along with a vacuum cleaner is a good trick. Just gently brush the components to dislodge the dust, and the vacuum will suck it up. If you keep the power supply plugged in (but switched off), it should help prevent any static buildup.

I have a similar blower, and it's way stronger than I expected! It really gets the dust out when I use it. Honestly, I need to remember to clean my PC again soon!
