I recently downloaded MSI Afterburner, but it installed some extra stuff that I couldn't cancel, which made me a bit distrustful. Now, I'm having trouble removing both MSI Afterburner and RivaTuner from my PC. Whenever I try to uninstall them, I get a prompt asking if I allow these apps from an unknown publisher to make changes to my device, but no matter how I respond, they just won't go away. I've even tried uninstalling them in Safe Mode, and it's still not working. Any advice on how to permanently remove them from my system?

You can just click 'yes' on that prompt; it's not malicious. When you uninstall an application, it often needs permission to delete files stored in sensitive areas like Program Files. If clicking 'yes' doesn't work and they still stick around, I'd recommend using Revo Uninstaller. It does a more thorough job of cleaning up program remnants and should help get rid of both apps completely.
Thanks for the tip! I tried it on Afterburner, and it worked like a charm. Should I use the same method for RivaTuner? It keeps warning me about being from an unknown publisher, and I'm a bit hesitant.
