How can I connect a gaming PC to a budget laptop for playing World of Warcraft?

Hey everyone! I'm looking to dive back into playing World of Warcraft after a long break, but my old laptop just doesn't cut it anymore in terms of specs. I don't want to spend a fortune on a new gaming laptop, especially since I've heard gaming PCs are typically much better for this sort of thing. The catch is, I have limited space for a PC setup. I'm wondering if there's a way to combine a decent gaming PC with a cheap laptop so I can have the power of the PC while using the laptop comfortably on my couch. My plan would be to just put the PC on the floor nearby. I really have no experience with this and could use advice on what to look for in a good gaming PC and a budget laptop that would work for my idea. Also, with Black Friday around the corner, I'm hoping to snag some good deals, but I'm not sure where to start or if I need any extra components! Thanks a lot for your help!

It's worth noting there’s no way to directly combine the power of a desktop PC and a laptop. Instead, a good solution may be investing in a solid but affordable gaming PC and using a lap board with a portable monitor and keyboard. WoW is surprisingly light, and a decent integrated GPU can handle it just fine!

Totally agree! I picked up a mid-range laptop recently for around $400, and it runs WoW like a champ!

For a solid gaming experience on a budget, consider using a game streaming service like GeForce Now. It lets you play games on your laptop while the actual game runs on powerful servers. It works great for couch gaming!

Yeah, I've used GeForce Now too, and it’s fantastic! Just make sure your WiFi is up to par.

You might want to think about building a gaming PC and using streaming software like Moonlight. This lets you stream the game from your PC to your laptop. It's a cool setup, but you'll need to make sure everything is well connected.

That's a great idea! I've done something similar, and it works pretty well. Just keep in mind some minor latency depending on your internet connection!
