I'm looking for the best way to manage RGB lighting with my ASUS motherboard and an ASUS 5090 graphics card. I've tried using Armory Crate, but the software feels really cumbersome, requiring multiple installations and running a ton of background services just to tweak the RGB settings. Is there a simpler or more effective alternative? Thanks!

I've heard of alternatives like Signal RGB and OpenRGB, but I was too nervous to try them out myself, so I just turned my RGB off entirely. Can't risk bricking my motherboard!
Thanks for the heads-up! I just saved my 64GB DDR5 RAM from potential damage, and I spent over $1,100 on it!
I want to warn everyone against using OpenRGB! The coding is really poor; there are reports of people damaging their RAM modules with it. I switched to the free tier of Signal RGB, and it has everything I need without the hassle of paying for more features. Also, if you mess up your RAM with OpenRGB, there's a recovery tool available to fix corrupted memory.
OpenRGB is still an option, though I haven't tried it in a while. Personally, I use Corsair iCUE since I have other Corsair parts in my setup. I do have to keep the ASUS RGB services installed for the iCUE plugin to work, but I've uninstalled the main Armory Crate app and it hasn't caused any issues for me.
You can enable an option in the BIOS to let the operating system take control of the lighting. Once you do that, just use the RGB lighting feature in Windows 11. Also, be careful with ASUS's special RGB header—it's meant for their software only. Make sure you connect to the standard ARGB header instead.
