I'm trying to create a shortcut for Amazon Prime on my desktop, but it seems different from previous versions of Windows. I remember being able to drag programs from the Start menu to the desktop, but that doesn't work anymore. When I right-click on Amazon Prime in the Start menu, I don't see an option to create a shortcut; the only choice is to pin it to the taskbar. I can right-click on the desktop and see a 'create shortcut' option, but it asks for the program's location, which I can't figure out. Can someone guide me on how to make a shortcut for Amazon Prime?

If you're getting stuck, remember that if you don’t see the option to 'Open file location', sometimes apps don't show that. In that case, try searching for the app in your system files or directly in the C:\Program Files or C:\Program Files (x86) directory for it.
To create your Amazon Prime shortcut, first open the Start menu and find Amazon Prime. Right-click on it and select 'More', then choose 'Open file location'. This should take you to the folder containing the shortcut. From there, right-click on that shortcut and select 'Send to', then choose 'Desktop (create shortcut)'. If it's a Microsoft Store app, instead, hold down 'Shift + Ctrl' while dragging the taskbar icon to your desktop!
It sounds like the usual way isn't available for you. You might have to access the 'Show more options' in the right-click menu to find deeper settings. If you’re not having luck with that, try checking the location of the Amazon Prime app in your Start menu and see if you can find an option that lets you get to the file location directly.
