How can I create additional streams of income as a DevOps engineer?

I'm working as a DevOps engineer/SRE and have a solid set of skills in areas like cloud (Azure, AWS), containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, Terraform), CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, Jenkins), Linux operating systems, and scripting (Python and Bash). I'm wondering if there are any viable options for consulting, freelancing, or other ways to earn extra income while maintaining my current job. Any suggestions?

Freelancing is definitely an option! You can offer your DevOps skills on platforms like Upwork or Fiverr. Just make sure to market your skills well to get noticed.

One idea could be to sell online courses or tutorials based on your expertise. With your background, you have a lot of knowledge that others might pay to learn!

Selling tech-related supplements or merchandise online could be a fun side hustle too. Just think about your target audience and what they might be interested in!

That’s a cool suggestion! I hadn’t thought about that.

Consider consulting for small businesses that need guidance on DevOps practices. This way, you can leverage your skills and help others while making some extra cash.
