Hey everyone! I'm stuck trying to delete my personal Microsoft account, but I keep running into a message saying I need to leave my work organization. The weird part is that this is just a personal account, not tied to any workplace. I can see it's linked to Azure, but when I check Azure, it tells me that my tenant is blocked because it's been inactive for over 200 days. I want to get rid of this account, but I can't seem to find a way to delete it. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Just to clarify, the account I want to delete is an Outlook account. Thanks!

It’s wild, right? Microsoft really makes it seem like they want you to stay forever! I’d recommend getting in touch with Microsoft support directly. Since your Azure tenant situation is causing the issue, it might be best to speak to someone who can address this issue—something beyond regular troubleshooting. They may have the ability to force a removal of the organization link.
You're in a tricky spot because your personal Microsoft account is linked to an Azure AD tenant that’s now inactive. This setup makes it feel like you're in a catch-22. First, check out myaccount.microsoft.com and look under "Organizations" to see if the old Azure directory still appears. If it does, try to remove it from there. If you hit a wall because of the inactive tenant, you’ll need to reach out to Microsoft Support to help detach your account from that tenant manually. That’s the only way forward when the tenant's blocked. Once they unlink it, you should be able to delete your Outlook account without any issues. It's a known problem with expired Azure tenants.
I've reached out through chat support, and they said this is beyond their capabilities. They directed me to the business support team, but I have no idea how to contact them. It's been almost five days of trying but no luck.

I’ve tried contacting them too, but they told me it was out of their jurisdiction, and it seems they’ve entirely taken away the option to call their support!
