Recently, I discovered an AirTag in my car that alerted me through my phone. After checking, I found out it's registered to my ex. I'm worried he might place another tracker that won't alert me. Besides checking my car every day, what other effective methods can I use to find potential GPS trackers?

While I'm not an expert on GPS trackers, I recommend trying out AirGuard. It helps you detect a variety of Bluetooth trackers. Also, consider getting a dashcam with parking mode, like the VIOFO A229. It'll record what happens around your car, which could be useful if someone tries to sneak a tracker on it.
If you're really concerned, consider filing a police report. Hand over the AirTag with the report to them; they might help you with further investigations regarding any unwanted tracking.
If you’ve found an AirTag, you can hold your NFC-enabled smartphone near it to get the registration details. You’ll see the Apple ID or phone number linked to it, plus the last four digits of that number. This can help you identify the owner. Check out the Apple support page for how to do this!
You can also check if there's an option to make the AirTag sound off. It might help you locate it more easily.
Just so you know, SIM-based trackers usually need to be found physically. So keep an eye out for any unusual devices around your car.

Yeah, it's good to document that info just in case you need it later.
