I'm trying to find a way to make Reddit display pages in Spanish using a URL hack that I discovered. This method works for languages like French, German, and Italian by adding a specific language code at the end of the URL, such as **?tl=fr** for French. However, I've been unsuccessful in getting it to work for Spanish. I've tried using the common codes **es** and **spa**, but they don't change the language from English. Does Reddit have a different code for Spanish? I found out that there's a code **es-419** for Latin American Spanish that works! I'd love to know if there's a similar code for other languages or if anyone has any tips on this.

I think the **pt-br** code for Brazilian Portuguese works too. Seems like Reddit uses these specific codes for better localization of content. Maybe other languages have similar variations?
It’s interesting that you found **es-419** for Latin American Spanish! I didn’t know Reddit had variations for different dialects. The standard **es** code not working really threw me off. I wonder what other codes there might be for languages that depend on regions too.
Right? I feel like it's common for tech platforms to have specific codes for regional variants. It would be cool to see a full list, but I'm glad you found a way to view it in Spanish!
Yeah, I tried **pt-pt** for Portugal and it didn’t work for me either, which is kinda frustrating. It seems like you should always check for regional codes when using this hack.
