I'm about to finish high school, and this summer I'm participating in an AI programming course and internship through my school. I'm really intrigued by large language models (LLMs) and AI programming, but I feel like I don't know much at all! What can I do outside of this course to enhance my learning? Sometimes I pretend to understand, but honestly, I'm a bit lost. I have this nagging feeling that I should have started learning programming years ago when I first got my PC. I just have a deep fascination for AI programming and coding in general!

You might want to check out some beginner resources. The FAQ on the subreddit for learning programming is a great starting point—it has tons of advice on how to get going and what projects to tackle.
Just focus on writing more code! It’s essential to gain hands-on experience, so try to minimize your use of AI tools initially. You really want to solidify your foundations by coding things out yourself.
I appreciate the resources! I’ll definitely check that out, I need some direction on what projects to start with.
