How can I dual-boot Arch Linux and Windows on separate SSDs?

I'm eager to set up Arch Linux alongside Windows, but I want to make sure I do it right this time. I have two SSDs, and I've had some trouble with my previous attempts. I followed a tutorial that involved creating partitions and configuring GRUB, but it ended up removing my Windows installation. I know how to connect to Ethernet with a couple of commands, but beyond that, I'm not sure about the next steps. Can someone guide me on how to install Arch Linux without messing up my Windows?

If you're new to this, I really suggest trying out VirtualBox first. You can create a virtual machine with multiple drives and practice the installation without risking your actual SSDs. It’s a great way to get the hang of it!

That's a great idea! I'll definitely give VirtualBox a try first. Thanks!

Honestly, a simpler approach might be just to remove the Windows drive while you install Arch. Install Arch on the other SSD, then put the Windows SSD back and boot from your BIOS. It could save you a lot of headaches!

Check out the Arch Wiki's guide on dual-booting with Windows. It's super comprehensive and should give you the detailed steps you need to get started. Make sure to back up any important data just in case!

If you're finding the installation process confusing, maybe consider starting with a more user-friendly distro like Fedora or Mint. They’re easier for beginners and might make the transition smoother before diving into Arch.
