How Can I Dual Boot Windows and Linux Without Issues?

I'm trying to set up a dual boot with Windows and Linux, but I'm running into some frustrating issues. I've installed Linux on a second hard drive, but every time I boot into Windows after using Linux, it either runs chkdsk or goes into startup repair mode. It seems like Linux and NTFS partitions aren't playing nicely together, but I'm not sure if the problem is on Microsoft's end or if it's something with my setup. Would reinstalling Windows with exFAT partitions help, or is there a better solution?

It sounds like you've got a conflict with the way Windows fastboot interacts with your system. Make sure you've disabled fastboot in Windows settings, as that can lead to issues with Linux. Plus, double-check that you're not leaving Windows in a hibernation or sleep state. Essentially, Windows needs to shut down completely to stop it from interfering with your Linux setup. By the way, using NTFS for Windows and EXT4 for Linux is generally the way to go.

Thanks for the tip, I’ll make sure to change that setting.
