How can I effectively use Cheat Engine on Linux?

I'm a complete beginner with Linux, specifically using Nobara, and I'm trying to figure out how to run Cheat Engine. I've looked into using alternatives like GameConqueror and Pince, but they don't have the functionality I need, such as running cheat tables. I attempted to install Cheat Engine and run it through Wine, but it can't detect the games I'm playing. I found some information online, but most of it was too complicated for me. Can anyone explain in simple terms how I can run Cheat Engine or a similar tool on my system?

If you're open to spending a little money, you might want to look into the Cheat Happens tool for the Steam Deck. It’s user-friendly. Alternatively, tools like [Faugus Launcher](https://github.com/Faugus/faugus-launcher) and [LaLa](https://github.com/wyyadd/LaLa/) could work, but they require a bit more setup.

Running Cheat Engine on Linux through Wine can be quite a hassle. While you could try Pince or other Linux alternatives, the downside is that there aren't many cheat tables available for those tools, and you might end up needing to create your own.

To get Cheat Engine to work with a game using Wine, both need to operate on the same Wine prefix. Unfortunately, I couldn't get it working either, but I managed to find a cheat file from Nexus mods that suited my needs, which could be a workaround for you.

Honestly, I just run Cheat Engine on Windows because Wine can lead to weird issues. I handle other tasks on Linux instead.
