I recently had a phone call with Apple Support regarding an issue with my partner's account. He started the call but gave me control because he's not great at communicating over the phone. During the call, I had to log into his old iCloud account using my phone, and the support person requested my email and number for screen sharing. Now I'm a bit worried about how to know when the screen sharing is completely done. I've heard that it ends when the call does, but since the call was made from his phone, will the screen share automatically stop for me too? The sharing icon went away, but my paranoia is making me question if it really ended. I'm just looking for a bit of reassurance here.

Honestly, you seem really worried about this! Just remember, Apple’s screen sharing sessions typically end when the call does, so you should be fine. If you ever find yourself in doubt again, don't hesitate to ask for reassurance from support directly!
You can generally tell when the screen sharing ends by looking at the icon. If you're feeling really worried in the future, you can tap on that icon and select 'End Screen Share' yourself. Don’t stress, though—the screen share should automatically end within seconds after the call disconnects, regardless of which phone was used to initiate it. Apple's support system ensures that the session won't stay active without an ongoing call.
I appreciate that, but during the call, I was tapping on the icon and it didn't seem to work. I think I just need some clarification on how to end it manually if I need to.
If you really want to be sure, just restart your iPhone. This is an extra step and might not be necessary, but it definitely means the screen sharing can't stay active after that. It can help ease your worry!
Thanks, I did that already. I just worry a lot, especially with everything going on. I know I shouldn't overthink it, but I get too anxious sometimes.

Thanks for the reassurance! I think the anxiety just got the best of me this time.
