How Can I Escape the Struggles of Being a Constant Beginner?

I've been feeling like I'm stuck in 'always beginner hell.' I started studying Computer Science a year ago and still haven't completed a single project. It feels like I'm a beginner in everything I try, and I often lack the confidence to tackle bigger challenges. Recently, I've also started learning about electronics, and the most I've done is light an LED with a button. Since I'm self-studying without a teacher, I have a hard time figuring out what to focus on and how to move forward. It feels like I'm caught in a perfectionism loop that's holding me back. For those who have taught themselves, how do you break free from this frustrating cycle of always feeling like a beginner?

I hear you! The key is to start small and actually finish your first few projects. It doesn’t matter how tiny they are—just get them done. Then work on slightly bigger projects and keep the momentum going. Once you see finished work, it’ll really boost your confidence!

Totally! And it really helps to have a clear definition of what 'done' means for each project. Otherwise, you might end up adding features endlessly and never actually finishing anything. Trust me, I've been there with too many unfinished projects on my GitHub!
