How Can I Find Out Who Built a Website?

Hey everyone,

I'm curious if there's a way to find out who developed a website without having to reach out to the owner. I often come across beautifully designed sites, and I'd love to hire the developers behind them. Is there any method to track this information down? Thanks!

One way to potentially find the developer is to Google the site name followed by "portfolio." This might lead you to the web developer's portfolio if they showcased that site as part of their work.

Open the site in your browser, right-click, and select 'Inspect' to look through the code. Sometimes the developer's name might be mentioned in the meta tags or in some script files.

Could you give more details on how to look for the meta tags? I’m not very experienced with this!

Check if the site has a humans.txt file. It might list the credits for the development team.
