How can I fix darkened pixels on my TV?

I have a Roku TV with a standard backlit LCD panel that I mostly use for gaming on my Xbox. Recently, I've noticed an issue where some pixels seem to be darkened on one side of the screen. It seems like they're still functioning, but each one has a slightly different tint compared to its neighbors, creating a non-uniform appearance while displaying static backgrounds. I think this happened because I left my Xbox on while the TV was idle for too long. Can playing static images on the TV help remedy this problem?

If it’s true burn-in, then unfortunately, you might be out of luck. But if it's just a case of temporary issues, then the strategies mentioned can really help. Just make sure to avoid static images for a long time in the future, as that can exacerbate the problem. Keeping your content varied should help reduce the chances of this happening again.

Unfortunately, it's tough to fix fully burnt-in pixels. If your TV is just experiencing some darkening without actual burn-in, there are a few methods you can try. Things like running specific screen-fixing videos that cycle through colors can sometimes reset the pixels. You could also use software like JScreenFix or display a solid white screen for several hours. Just giving the TV a break by turning it off for a while may also help. Lastly, see if your TV has a pixel shifting feature—you could enable that to prevent any further issues.
