I've been struggling to take an AI proctored exam for three days because I can't meet the required ping of 50 or lower. Usually, I do my exams on my phone without any trouble, but the test can only be taken on a PC or laptop. Here's what I've done so far: I've connected my work laptop via Ethernet, disabled all background apps, disconnected all other devices from the network, and restarted everything multiple times. I also tried my personal laptop but still can't get the ping below 100. The only change recently is that my ISP, Metronet, was bought by T-Mobile. I don't have speed or latency issues otherwise; it's just this ping that's stopping me from taking the exam. Any suggestions to resolve this before I have to pay $95 to transfer the exam?

A ping requirement of 50 seems pretty stringent! Generally, a good connection should get you under 25ms. Are you sure that's the required ping? You might want to check your ping on speedtest.net as well as on a service like Cloudflare to see if that differs from what the exam requires.
I can't even get close to that 50 ping; both laptops are usually above 100. The Talview speed test always shows at least 118 ping. I just tried Cloudflare, and it said 25.6.
