My laptop charger has been giving me trouble for a while now. I had to twist the wire to get it to charge, and today, it snapped off while I was unplugging it. It has that round connector that some old chargers use. I won't be able to get a new one until tomorrow, and none of my friends have the right charger for my laptop. Is there any way to fix it or any alternative method to charge my laptop in the meantime? I did try using a USB-C cable since my laptop has a USB-C port, but it didn't work. I'm using a Dell Inspiron.

If you're really stuck, the quickest fix is just to get a replacement charger. That way, you'll be good to go!
Consider getting a universal charger at a local store like Walmart. They often carry options that might work for your laptop.
Just an FYI, most laptops that use a barrel power supply won't charge through USB-C. It's a design choice, and having both connections can be confusing sometimes.
The easiest solution would be to buy a replacement charger designed for your Dell model, either OEM or an aftermarket option. You should be able to find the required specs on your current charger.
Just grab a replacement charger. Check the brick of your current charger for the model number. If you're looking for alternatives, some universal chargers can handle older laptop charging ports too.
