How can I free up space on my C: drive now that I have a new SSD?

I recently upgraded my gaming PC, and now my C: drive is full at 110 GB because my brother set things up for me. I got a new 1.5 TB SSD for storage, but I don't know how to manage my storage effectively. Some programs automatically install on the C: drive, and I want to change that. I want to know how to either move my OS to the SSD or free up space on the C: drive. Any help would be appreciated!

During installation of new programs, choose to install them on your new SSD. When prompted, select 'custom install' so you can pick the location. This will save space on your C: drive and let you use the SSD’s capacity fully!

If you have an SSD, it's a good idea to swap out the old HDD and install Windows directly onto the SSD. This will boost your performance and help you manage your storage better. Just make sure to create a bootable USB installer for Windows first and record your activation key before switching things up. That way, you can start fresh on the SSD and move your games and programs there when you're set up!

Great tip! Just remember to check if BitLocker is enabled. If it is, you'll need that recovery key before making any changes!

You could also just back up everything important from your C: drive, then install Windows fresh on the new SSD. Afterward, reconnect the old drive to transfer any needed files back. This way, you can clear your C: drive completely.

Good point! And don't forget to use Disk Cleanup to clear out temporary files and old downloads too.

I’ll definitely give Disk Cleanup a try! Thanks for the advice!
