I've been dealing with a persistent Trojan virus on my PC. Every time I turn it on, Microsoft Defender alerts me about it. Even after I click delete, the virus is still there when I restart my computer. I've already tried using Eset's one-time scanner, which claimed to remove a variant of the Win32/Runner.NHI Trojan located in SystemRootDocjil.dll. I've done a lot of cleaning up, like deleting temporary files and quarantined items while in safe mode. Plus, I ran an offline scan outside of safe mode to double-check everything. Now I'm really worried and haven't turned my PC back on yet. What else should I do to ensure it's gone?

If you're really concerned about the Trojan lingering, a factory reset is a surefire way to wipe everything clean. Just make sure to back up any important files before doing it, as this will erase everything on your hard drive.
I second the idea of a factory reset. It could definitely help you wipe out any trace of the virus if it keeps coming back.
Can you back up an app with all its plugins and settings? I’d hate to lose everything and have to redo all that work.
