I'm feeling a bit lost with programming. I just graduated from high school and did some robotics programming, but we never focused on optimization or the complex concepts like hashmaps and classes. I recently tried tackling questions on NeetCode and couldn't even get through the first lesson. I find the solutions totally confusing. Should I backtrack and learn more basics, or how should I approach NeetCode if I'm still new to coding?

NeetCode is really aimed at people who have a good grasp of data structures and algorithms, often those who are further along in their CS studies. It'd be helpful to know your background in programming and how long you've been learning. If you're new, don’t feel discouraged—it’s perfectly normal to struggle at first!
